Morphing Drawing
Final Critique:
I critiqued Shea Davis's art.
1. Are the images all the same size? Shea created one singular piece that looks like a dragon and slowly morphs into a pencil. It is all one size and evenly balances out the paper.
2. How are the values? The value throughout this piece is even; the artist used much darker shading techniques and left some areas completely white. The artist could use a little more value to round out the pencil and accentuate the shadows.
3. How are the lines/mark making techniques? The artist uses darker defined lines to outline the piece and make it pop from the paper. Shea uses several different forms of shading, and it is shows through pencil lines and the different thickness/scratchy looking texture of the lead.
4. What can be added/taken away? I think the artist could incorporate more shading and highlights into the drawing to help identify the two objects.
5. Is it clean? The image is very clean and neat; it is aesthetically pleasing and draws viewers in.
